Let’s talk about the 1st Deadly Sin of Pride and how you can use it in business!

In the 21st century we are now in a place of consciousness where we can safely trust ourselves to access our ego’s shadow and allow these powerful energies to positively transform our lives, our businesses and the world. Our goal as conscious entrepreneurs is to unite Light and Shadow into the oneness of our True Desire.

This isn’t Star Wars. There is no battle between the “Dark Side” and the “Light.”

That is what healing is all about for conscious entrepreneurs now- coming into oneness with all of who we are. This is a new spiritual path – the spiritual path for today.

Most conscious entrepreneurs don’t accomplish their own goals because they are afraid of their own shadow. This is what causes us to self-sabotage. Finding your shadow motivations and channeling them in a positive way to create what you really want is about self-healing. And your business is your platform for self-healing.

So in this series of eight blogposts I’m showing you how to turn your shadow side into positive motivations in your business.

Let’s get started with the 1st Deadly Sin of Pride!

Don’t we just love proving someone else wrong? Maybe an authority figure? Or someone who has put us down in the past?

Is there a part of you that would LOVE to say “I told you so?”

This cat does not care what you think about her business plan.

What rules would you like to break, just so you can prove they can be broken?

What stereotypes do you refuse to conform to?

There is something delicious about proving someone else wrong!

Not by arguing with them, or saying, “I told you so“ –  because that would be destructive – but instead making how we live every day a testament to their incorrect assessment of what we are capable of! We show them, via our results, that we can do exactly what they said we could not.

And often we are motivated to do so because we refuse to conform to a stereotype! We achieve results that shouldn’t be possible because the rules tell us it is not possible.

In my entrepreneurial journey I had people all around me telling it was not possible for a psychic to have a multi-six figure income. The man I had been living with for four years told me I was crazy/delusional. My family told me I should just learn to keep my head down and my opinions to myself and learn to be a reasonable employee. My friends – even the spiritually woo-woo ones – for the most part patted my hand and suggested I lower my expectations.

And, yessiree Bob, I proved them all wrong. And it felt frigging fantastic! My results speak for themselves. And now, on the flip side of that journey, I get to inspire and empower other spiritually conscious entrepreneurs to make good money doing what they love!

Pride is a great motivator and you channel it productively by getting new results. The healthy way to utilize pride in propelling your business forward is to prove people wrong through your results.

Exercise: When pride becomes activated within you, get clear on what result you could create that would break that rule in a positive way for my life/business. Then go achieve it, and let your result speak for itself!
